JCCV President Philip Zajac responds to NSW Police taking strong and decisive action against neo-Nazi
“It was positive and reassuring to see NSW Police taking strong and decisive action against these neo-Nazi thugs. It was also reassuring to hear the NSW Premier warn that police in his state would not hesitate to reveal the identities of the masked cowards.”
“While we acknowledge that Victoria has been a leader in banning Nazi symbols and gestures, it seems our state is lagging when it comes to disrupting the public activity of neo-Nazi members or groups.”
“Our concern is that the contrast in approaches demonstrates, whether correctly or not, that Victoria is a safe place for neo-Nazis to share their hate in public.”
