City of Melbourne Councillors visited East Melbourne Hebrew Congregation to help find solutions to ensure the CBD is a welcoming place for all, including Jewish people.
Dozens of Victorian MPs from across the political spectrum gained a deeper understanding of the Victorian Jewish community, Jewish faith and challenges with antisemitism at a special event hosted by the Jewish Community Council of Victoria (JCCV).
From the expense of upgrading aging communal infrastructure, to the growth of out-of-school-hours Jewish education, from the spread of disinformation on Israel, to the benefits of multifaith engagement – a small group of Jewish community leaders had the opportunity to raise a broad range of opportunities and challenges with the Victorian Minister for Multicultural Affairs Colin Brooks.
